This warrior is wearing a helmet which in Saxon times was called a helm.
His shield would have been called a Maile. The sword that he carries is called an Adiglon and after battle it would have been re-named for its actions: for example: If the sword had sliced someone’s heart, it would most likely be called ‘heartpiercer’ afterwards.
Anglo Saxons wore layers of cloth for warmth, a tunic would have been worn under a cloak.
